The East Region Soccer League (ERSL)

Overview
The ERSL is a non-profit organization in Eastern Ontario that provides levels of soccer competition as requested by governing bodies in accordance with the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) Pyramid for Play.   It was formed in 2002 and is one of four Regional Leagues within Ontario.  The ERSL serves two Districts, Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association (EODSA - Ottawa area) and Southeast Ontario Soccer Association (SOSA – Brockville-Belleville-Kingston areas).  The ERSL is affiliated to and governed by the Ontario Soccer Association.

The ERSL offers four competitions:

  • Regional Level 3 Competition (EODSA & SOSA)
    Level 3 divisions are offered for boys and girls in the age groups under 13 to under 17, and for men and women at the under 21 age group. The champions of the boys and girls divisions are eligible for promotion to the Ontario Youth Soccer League.
  • Regional Level 4 Competition (EODSA & SOSA – this competition will cease in 2015)
    Level 4 divisions are offered for boys and girls in the age groups under 14 to under 18. The champions of the boys and girls divisions are eligible for promotion to the ERSL Level 3 divisions.
  • District Competitive Competition (EODSA)
    District Competitive Competition divisions are offered for boys and girls in the age groups under 13 to under 18 located within the Eastern Ontario District of the Ontario Soccer Association.
  • District Development Competition (EODSA)
    District Competitive Competition divisions are offered for boys and girls in the age groups under 9 to under 12 within the Eastern Ontario District of the Ontario Soccer Association. This competition is also offered in the winter months as the Winter District Development League.
