East Region Cup and East Region Shield

Founded in 2004 (ER Cup) and 2005 (ER Shield), the Cup and Shield are a season long, single game, knockout competition open to all ERSL teams. The ER Cup is open to Premier and Regional teams from U10 to U18, and Division 1 teams above U14. The ER Shield is only open to Division 1 teams from U10 to U14. With the exception of the U17/18 Cup final, which is hosted by ERSL and played in August, all Cup finals will be played on the 3rd Saturday in September. All Shield finals will played on the 3rd Sunday in September. ERSL member clubs are invited to host the Cup and Shield Finals on a yearly basis.

Pyramid of Play
The ERSL has a strong emphasis on development for both players and referees. By being part of the OSA Pyramid of Play, we can offer players an opportunity to improve his or her skills to play at a higher level. We also encourage our senior referees to mentor those with less experience.

The ERSL is affiliated and governed to the Ontario Soccer Association.
