East Region Cup Scheduling procedure
 
All rounds except the finals
In an attempt to improve the participation and enjoyment of the East Region Cup the ERSL Board of Directors has considered suggestions made from members and have agreed to the following plan for 2011

1. There will be no entry fee for the East Region Cup

2. With the exception of the U21 teams, all teams are automatically entered into the ER Cup. However a team may withdraw from the competition by sending an email stating that fact to the ERSL at admin@ersl.ca. The email must be received by end of business day on Monday May 16th.

3. There will be no league games scheduled during the week of Sunday June 26th to Saturday July 2nd. Instead this week will be reserved for the round of 16 of the East Region Cup

4. With one exception the round of 16 games will be scheduled on the day that the home team plays its league games, however should both teams agree then the game can be rescheduled by up to 7 days in either direction of this date.

5. The exception to point 4 is when a visiting team needs to travel 2 hours to the game. In this case the game will be scheduled on Sunday June 26th. However if both teams agree then the game can be rescheduled by up to 7 days in either direction of this date.

6. In some age groups it is possible that more than 16 teams enter the East Region Cup. In these situations a round of 32 will be required and the teams participating are encouraged to work with their opponent to agree on a suitable date for the game as long as it is scheduled prior to June 26th. If the teams are unable to agree on a date then an ERSL Director will decide the date of the game.

7. The teams participating in the round of 8 are encouraged to work with their opponent to agree on a suitable date between July 10th and July 30th. If the teams are unable to agree on a date then an ERSL Director will decide the date of the game.

8. The semi finals for age groups U13 to U16 will be played on Sunday August 28th. The semi finals for the U17/18 age group will be Sunday August 7th.

9. The final for age groups U13 to U16 will be played on Sunday September 18th. The final for the U17/18 age group will be Sunday August 21st

10. Requests to reschedule the semi final or final will not be approved unless one of the participating teams is playing in the Ontario Cup on that weekend. The new date will be selected by an ERSL Director

10. The draw for the East Region Cup will be made on Tuesday May 17th and will be published on the ERSL web site no later than June 20th

For the Finals

11. All games will be scheduled at a neutral venue by the ERSL at a kick off time set by the ERSL
